It’s free taco day!
Everyone can get a free Doritos Locos Taco at participating Taco Bell locations around the United States from 2-6 p.m. today thanks to Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts stealing a base in Game 1 of the World Series on Oct. 23.
Red Sox OF Mookie Betts earns free Taco Bell for everyone
You can also order online and get it at any point throughout the day. Limit is one per person but it’s a chance to get a free lunch. Or at least part of a lunch. We all know you’re getting more than just one taco if you’re going to T-Bell.
Today’s the day — score your free Doritos(r) Locos Tacos courtesy of Taco Hero @mookiebetts at any Taco Bell from 2-6pm. Or, order yours online or on our app and pick it up any time throughout the day. #StealATaco https://t.co/HwcY04rBm9 pic.twitter.com/qW5Ya8QS3L

This is the seventh year of Taco Bell’s “Steal a Taco” promotion, which began in 2007 when then-Red Sox outfield Jacoby Ellsbury stole a base against the Colorado Rockies.
In 2017, it was former Detroit Tigers outfielder Cameron Maybin who earned America free food when he stole second base while playing for the Houston Astros against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
As for the 2018 World Series, the Red Sox beat the Dodgers four games to one to earn their fourth title since 2004.
